What is NET and how to make a bottle of NET juice at home!

There is nothing better than a strong tobacco vape. Although many vapers avoid tobacco juice because of its association with traditional combustible products, there are still those who believe that only tobacco juice, especially organic tobacco, can bring the perfect vaping experience. However, because this type of juice is often very expensive and few manufacturers produce it, extracting and mixing a bottle of juice from dried tobacco leaves is a quite interesting and worth trying option. So in this article, let's explore with me how to create a standard bottle of NET juice.

What is NET e-juice?

As the title suggests, NET stands for "Naturally Extracted Tobacco," which can simply be understood as a juice with a flavor naturally extracted from dried tobacco leaves (also known as organic tobacco). This flavor can be extracted from many different types of tobacco, such as Virginia, Cuban, Oriental,... but in general, the process is similar.

The dried tobacco leaves are chopped and mixed with PG, VG or Ethanol to extract the natural essential oils. This process can be done at high temperatures (around 70°C) to speed up the extraction process, resulting in a stronger, more aromatic juice. Alternatively, a cold extraction method can be used, which simply involves steeping the tobacco leaves in a solvent for 4 to 8 weeks. Although the cold method takes longer, the finished product retains the complexity and subtle flavors of each tobacco variety. More importantly, it is easy to do and does not require temperature control equipment. As long as you have the patience and passion to wait for 8 weeks, a great bottle of juice will be born.

How is NET different from combustible tobacco?

The most obvious one is: less harmful substances. When you smoke a cigarette, cigar, pipe, etc., in addition to nicotine and tobacco flavor, you also inhale tar and fine dust from the combustion process. Meanwhile, e-juice does not have a combustion process, so what you take into your body is only the essence of the tobacco leaf: taste and aroma (with a little bit of vapor and nicotine if you choose).

Second, the tobacco flavor when extracted into juice will be fresher. When you light a cigarette, the flavor may be delicious when you first light it, but when it is almost finished, there will be a burnt and bitter smell due to the remaining tar. However, when the natural essential oils from the tobacco leaves are extracted into juice, that flavor will be maintained steadily with each puff. The same type of tobacco, but when burned directly and when extracted into juice, the experience is completely different. NET juice is often described as having the same aroma as when you open a new pack of cigarettes, a new cigar with cellophane removed, or a pinch of pipe tobacco from a box - it is a true and fresh tobacco flavor.

Why choose NET juice?

The answer is simple: To bring the unique flavor of a cigar into juice and enjoy it in a completely new way. Most organic tobacco juices on the market usually only use a single type of tobacco leaf, such as Virginia or Burley. But when making your own juice, you can combine many types of tobacco leaves, creating a complex, unique flavor like a cigar or a box of pipe tobacco. This creativity will bring an impressive and different vape experience.

How to make NET juice?

It sounds complicated, but making juice is actually very simple.

You will need to prepare the following ingredients:

  • 200ml PG solution

  • 100ml VG solution

  • 10ml liquid nicotine

  • 2 glass jars with airtight lids

  • Bottle to contain finished juice

  • Coffee filter paper and cheesecloth

  • Herbal grinder (or scissors)

  • Dried leaves

Note: I recommend using a quality cigar or a good box of pipe tobacco. Avoid using tobacco from a regular pack or worse, pipe tobacco, as you don't want your finished product to be a piece of crap after 8 weeks.

Although the ingredients can be expensive, you don’t need to buy a cigar that costs millions. A Corona Tubos for only 100k or a small pack of pipe tobacco for under 200k is also very good.

How to do:

First, if you are using a cigar, break the tobacco into small pieces and grind it in a grinder. If you are using a pipe, you can skip this step. Next, put the tobacco into a glass jar, pour in the PG solution so that the tobacco leaves are covered with PG and add about 20% more solution to ensure that the tobacco leaves are still soaked when they expand. Stir well and close the jar tightly.

To prevent air from getting in, you can cover the mouth of the jar with plastic wrap before closing the lid. Place the jar in a cool, dark place, such as a closet or safe, and shake it every day for about 1 minute to mix the solvent and medicine.

And now comes the hardest part: waiting. You need to be patient for 6 to 8 weeks to complete your bottle of NET juice.

In the end, you will have a bottle of self-extracted juice full of natural tobacco flavor, bringing a completely new and unique vaping experience!
